As you may remember the promotional materials for the LG Revolution started arriving in stores yesterday after a long period of silence regarding the device. The displays showing up in stores often marks the launch of a phone and in this case that holds true as Verizon has now made it official. The LG Revolution is set to launch on the “Big Red” tomorrow.
Although this phone isn’t sporting a dual-core or a fancy 3D display it does possess a few qualities. Like we’ve seen in a few others the Revolution offers an HDMI port, and is the first phone to come preloaded with NetFlix (in case you don’t remember the leak). It will come with Froyo installed initially however, it’s likely a Gingerbread update is slated to roll out at some point.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on this phone pricing will be competitive with the current Verizon offerings. The LG Revolution will be listed at $250 pending a new two-year contract and qualifying talk and data plans. Mobile Hotspot has also been included although it’s only for a limited time. Revolution by LG will be available in Verizon Wireless Communication Stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com for $249.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.
Revolution customers will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a data package. Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 for monthly access. An unlimited data package is available for $29.99 for monthly access. The Mobile Hotspot feature will be included for a limited time at no additional charge.
