DROID 3! It looks like a Root method has finally been discovered and released for the masses. This was achieved by the brilliant work and mind of

@djrbliss. The overall method isn’t overly tricky but you do need to have at least some basic knowledge of ADB to complete the process.
As skeptical as you might be, I read through to the end of the thread and many people are reporting successful root, SU app staying put and root staying available after reboots. Now all we need is for some sick custom ROM’s to land on the device and things in the world will be set right again.
