I have no issue with a world-renowned manufacturer producing an mid-range device. Others will disagree with me. In the age of dual-core devices insane 3d gaming and HD screens, we often forget that not every user out there wants or needs the best of the best. Today in New York, HTC made the official announcement for their latest Android device. The Rhyme isn’t a power house by today’s standards, but does its job nicely.
The Rhyme is packing a 1GHz single core processor, Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.5, 4GB of storage, 768MB of ram and 5MP camera with LED flash. The device is rocking a 3.7″ screen with 480X800 resolution. The purpose of this device is not to compete with the up coming Vigor or give the Samsung Galaxy S II a run for its money. The purpose of this device was to introduce something a bit more sleek and stylish that would appeal more to the female genre as well as the average Joe.
You will read all around the web today that the device is pink and aimed only at the ladies. After visiting HTC.com you can clearly see they also have a white version along with a light blue version. It has a unique body style and is extremely clean an elegant looking. Although we may not be at the event today, judging from the photos it looks like it would fit in your hand very comfortably.
In addition to the device, HTC has also launched a set of accessories that accompany the device that are styled right along side it. Making it the complete packaged deal to accessories your daily life with. Including a Bluetooth headset that is styled to match the device. One of the more unique accessory items for the Rhyme is the ‘Charm’. This little accessory attaches to your devices headphone plug, allowing you to dangle it on the outside of your bag. The end of the charm is a sort of cube. This cube will glow when you are receiving a phone call or text message. That should help save you ladies a lot of missed calls. Consider it a sort of  reminder/phone finder. All us guys know how funny it is to watch a lady dig through her bag of tricks to find her phone, now she can simply grab the cord to pull the phone out.
