As we all wait patiently for some brilliant developer to whip up a little Ice Cream Sandwich for our phones, each day we get a little closer. With all the phones on the front lines for rumored ports, looks like the HTC Thunderbolt has bumped ahead of the line, sorta. A developer by the name of Jdkoreclipse has successfully booted an ICS ROM on a Thunderbolt. Happy times! Right?! Well, don’t crack open the champagne just yet. Pretty much that’s all it does is boots. Hey I feel ya, my G2 got a successful boot and that’s it. We can cry together. Nothing really works on this ROM yet. Heck the touchscreen doesn’t function which pretty much renders your phone useless for now. It is a start, but developers are doing a good job of trying. We are all eagerly awaiting Google to release that source code so the devs can give us what the OEMs and carriers can’t. So all you Thunderbolters out there just know that there’s light on the other side of the ICS tunnel, and your phone will shortly have that tasty treat for you to play with.
