Just in case you didn’t have time to catch the live streaming event and haven’t seen every other site posts about it yet, the Google Music app has been updated. This update launched right along side the news that Google Music is open to all U.S. residence without invitation. The new updated music app gives the Ice cream Sandwich look to the UI still, and the ‘pin’ feature. Simply press the menu key and select ‘Make Available offline’. Then cruise through and pin all the songs you wish to have access to even when you don’t have a data connection. That’s at least how it works on my device. Of course the screen shots appear to be taken on a Galaxy Nexus and the navigation in the images look a little different.
If you long press on a song, you do get some options to play, make instant mix, add to playlist, shop for artist and search. Clicking shop for artist didn’t take me to the market though. It took me Google.com under shopping. I am wondering if that will change when the market is finally updated.

If you have a leaked version of the Google music app, be sure to uninstall it before installing the one below. Happy streaming everyone.
