ComputerWorld reported that Google has confirmed that the software will not be included, though no specific reason was given. It’s also stated that Big Red made the call to leave Google Wallet out, so I guess we’ll have to see what they’
There is, however, a dash of good news that was confirmed. Yesterday, there was a nasty humorous rumor floating around the Internet that the Nexus would not be receiving any more updates from Google. Well, you can forget that one — the phone will be a pure Google device, and will receive regular updates directly from the search engine giant.
The Nexus has been the talk of the town lately, and I’m still not completely sold on it. It only has a 5MP camera and no microSD support — two very bad opts on Samsung’s part, in my opinion. Of course, it definitely has it’s high points as well, and the news that it will receive direct attention from Google regarding software updates makes the phone sit pretty high on the list that will receive Jelly Bean, the next flavor of Android, when it sees the light of day.
What’s your take? Are you still drooling over the Nexus, or has the hype died down for you? Drop us a comment below and share your thoughts.
