Galaxy Note tearing up sales and headed to the U.S. Soon

I don’t know what it is about this device that is so pleasing. It is to big, in my opinion, to be a phone. Yet, it is too small to be considered a tablet. The newly tossed around name for such an odd size is ‘Phablet’. Which is rather fitting. If any other company had done something like what Samsung has done here, it would have surely failed. Samsung on the other hand has a remarkable way of making great products that just sell.

Today Samsung said that they have already shipped more than 1 million Galaxy Note’s in just the last 2 months since its launch in the U.K. Even if this number only reflects shipments from Samsung to sales channels, it is still an impressive number. There is still a high demand for the 5.3″, dual-core toting, stylus supplying device in France, Germany and Taiwan. If you want to get one state side you still will have to import it for now. That will change soon though. During Samsung’s congratulatory speech about their shipment numbers they made mention of the Note hitting the U.S. in 2012. If memory services me correctly, it cleared the FCC with AT&T bands included.

Are their people here that are itching to get their hands one of these bad boys? I know I am. I’m not interested in it for a phone or on a contract though. And Steve Jobs said “If you see a stylus, they blew it.” To bad he can’t comment on that statement now.
