For HTC Amaze 4G owners, the custom ROM community hasn’t exactly been as exciting as it has for many other devices. To my knowledge, there is a total of one AOSP ROM available for flashing and only a handful of developers working on custom Sense builds. While, we were just graced with a touch version of ClockworkMOD Recovery, and there’s even a pretty nice Sense 3.5 ROM that I’m rocking at the moment, but the experience just feels a bit incomplete.
I say this as an Android user since the OS’s inception and as an adamant AOSP fanatic. I’m not against Sense or the other OEM skinned Android experiences — I understand why they are in place, but they just aren’t for me. That being said, I was absolutely thrilled to find a post from the CyanogenMOD Google+ page that is sure to make my fellow Amaze owners as excited as I am. In a brief status update, the CM team reassures, “No, it’s not dead/dropped/lost/forgotten/[insert normal over-exaggeration.]”
