Not all of us can afford pricey, $200 high-end smartphones, and T-Mobile has realized this from the beginning. T-Mobile has just announced their budget friendly smart phone, the T-Mobile Prism, for a price of only $19.99 on a 2-Year contract, or $149.99 without a contract. The handset will first be available at Best Buy on May 6th, and will hit Walmart on May 9th. It’ll eventually hit T-Mobile stores on May 23rd, so if you need a cheap handset ASAP, Best Buy looks to be your route.
As far as specs and software go, the handset runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which isn’t bad considering the device only costs $20. It also has a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and a 3.2MP Camera. No word on processor speed, but we wouldn’t expect it to be anything more than a single core 600Mhz.
