It has sure been a roller coaster ride for hose of you that have been waiting for ICS. Not just for the
HTC Sensation and Amaze, but for pretty much every device in the US. It is always irritating and frustrating when you see your phone being updated all over the globe long before we see it. Well, it looks like T-Mobile has nailed down the release date for at least one of the two devices. The HTC Sensation 4G will be gaining
Ice Cream Sandwich along with Sense 3.6 beginning May 16th. You will be looking for software version 3.32.531.14710RD and should be pretty pleased with the update. It will be rolling out as an OTA, but you can always try to prompt it by hitting up settings and locating the HTC Software Updates button and checking in. No one has reported seeing it early yet, but you could always turn it into a daily routine just in case.
As for the HTC Amaze 4G, they are currently prepping for the update, but have yet to give a specific date for it to roll out. We fully expect it to start landing after the Sensation updates are near completion or shortly after. If T-Mobile pushed both out at the same time there could be issues. At least you know it is on the way finally. Anyone out there still stock looking forward to the update? Maybe you already gave up and rooted and tossed on a better custom ROM already. Let us know in the comments.
