Clambook aims to show Motorola how the Lapdock should have been Done

When it comes to technology, we are amazed nearly everyday. Just this week we have seen a 22-inch tablet from ViewSonic, a dual use all-in-one PC/tablet from ASUS and much more. The advancements don’t stop there though. You guys remember the Lapdock from Motorola? The oh so cool little laptop that had a dock for your specific device. It was cool, but just wasn’t where it needed to be to go big. ClamCase is going to change all of that with the Clambook.

Resembling a Macbook Air and Chrombook, the Clambook will give you a full screen display of your Android device on a 16:9 wide screen display. Using the wonders of of an MHL adapter, you will not only be able to use everything on your phone on a laptop, but also charge your device at the same time. This means that it won;t be device specific at all. Rather any device that has MHL/HDMI out support will work. Use your phone like never before. It offers the awesome trackpad with two finger navigation features for scrolling, pinch to zoom and even has dedicated home, back and multitask keys. This thing looks absolutely incredible. On their site we see it being used to play full HD videos on the main screen and one image has an iPhone racing. We aren’t sure how many apps and games will fully function out of the box, but we assume some will be tailor made while others will offer a straight mirrored image.

Clamcase hasn’t made any official launch date announcements or pricing as of yet. With the whole thing running of your smartphone, we would imagine them to be fairly inexpensive. If you are as excited to find out more about this awesome little gadget, be sure to hit up Clamcase now.
