Sprint Buyback program could net you $300 towards a new Device

We do our best to keep up with what all the various carriers are doing and offer. Being a T-Mobile customer I sometime fail to see what the other carriers are up to. So this news might be old news to many of the current Sprint customers out there, but might be new news to many others. I recently received an email from Sprint pushing the new HTC EVO 4G LTE. The image above is what was attached. What caught my eye was the ‘$300’ and ‘Sprint Buyback Program.’ This is the first I have ever heard of this.

Basically if you take in your old device, be it a Sprint device as a current customer or a non Sprint device as a future customer, you could get a huge chunk of in-store credit. Maximum credit is $300. Each device gains you a different credit amount. In my case my Samsung Vibrant would get me $59.00. I went through and checked out a chunk of the various devices and their credit amounts to share some of the top credit offers and which devices they are.

• Samsung Galaxy S II T-Mobile – $175
• HTC One S – $200
• HTC One X AT&T – $200
• HTC Rezound Verizon – $120
• Motorola DROID RAZR Verizon – $150
• Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX Verizon – $160
• LG Optimus LTE – $150

Just to name a few of the better prices. There were some that seemed WAY to low, like the Droid Xyboard 8.2 16GB is offered $80. We are sure you would have better lucking hitting up Craigslist or Swappa if you are looking to get the most money out of your device. Still, it is nice to see Sprint has a trade in option to get some monetary credit. Stipulations state you can return up to five devices per active line of service for account credit in a 12 month period. Seems like a person could rack up quite a great credit balance pretty easily.
