If you’re an owner of a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1,8.9,7.7, or 7.0 Plus and you’re anxiously awaiting your Android 4.0 ICS update for your tablet, you can rest assured that it’s on the way. According to SamMobile, updates for these tablets should be rolling out starting in July, however most of the updates won’t hit until August.  Ice Cream Sandwich will obviously bring a better User Experience onto your tablet, but aside from that, the update should also bring better battery life and speed improvement.
It’s great to see Samsung trying to update their whole 2011 tablet lineup, but is it too late? The next version of Jelly Bean is set to be announced this month at Google I/O, and with ICS hitting these tablets in August, it’d be a miracle if Samsung decided to update these tablets to Jelly Bean as well. However, there goes an old saying whenever it comes to Android OS updating: “It’s better late then never.”
Oh well, at least we still have the awesome developer community on our side.
