It seems some
Vodafone UK customers are reporting a nice update landing on his device. That’s right,
Jelly Bean is making its way through the airwaves to your beloved
Galaxy Nexus. We did a little digging after reading the very short FYI article posted at
Coolsmartphones and found a multitude of users in various forums all reporting the update as coming in. The build version they are receiving now is JRO03C, which is the most recent update released by Google for the device. Seems there are a few tricks one can do to attempt to pull the update through if you don’t already have it.
Go to settings, apps, all apps, then google framework services, clear data.
Then goto settings, about phone, software update. Itll show last checked january 1970.
Click check for update.
A checkin is the same as an update check, but have heard it pushes your device up the update list on google servers.
To do checkin, goto phone dial pad and type, *#*#2432546#*#*
Anything is worth a shot if you aren’t already running some sort of Jelly Bean ROM.
