Quantro enters internet muliplayer public Beta, the craziest take on Tetris ever Released

You all know what Tetris is. It is a long-standing casual puzzle style game that nearly everyone and their dog has played at least a few times. You take various puzzle pieces and attempt to layer them to clear out lines for a high score. I know I have been a Tetris fan since way back int he Nintendo and Gameboy days. Now there is a new and highly addictive twisted version of the game out from Peace Ray. The latest addition in the world of puzzle piece dropping is called Quantro. Just watching the trailer for the game is mind-blowing enough to make your jaw drop.

The company took the concept of Tetris and totally did a number on the game. Giving you 36 unique falling puzzle pieces to put together the best you can. They built the game from the ground up which helps provide a completely unique experience. Take everything you thought you knew and loved about Tetris and through it out the window. Seriously. Quantro has  various play options like 4 different single player modes that even lets you take a break and saves your game for you. Just check out the video and screen shots real quick.

Are you lost and confused yet? Quantro has some pretty crazy pieces added to the mix along with that insane 3D color codes style game play.

Quantro has been out for a while now though and it has breached the 10K download mark. It is sitting at a 4.4 star rating, meaning that it is pretty darn awesome. Over the holiday week though, they have pushed an update out to the game. The update adds in two beta internet based multiplayer sections.

The open beta offers three different multiplayer lobby styles:

  • Public lobbies are open for anyone to join as long as the creator hosts them.
  • Private lobbies require an invitation to join. Invite friends over email, SMS, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc.
  • Roaming lobbies keep going even after the host leaves: anyone with an invitation can take over hosting duties.

Quantro is free for all to play, and the new internet multiplayer beta section is open to all who play if an internet connection is available. We definitely recommend you snag this game up and give it a chance. It is easily worth the free price tag. If you want to kill off the ads in the game you can simply buy Quantro XL through the game to do so. Click or scan the QR code below to pick this one up.
