T-Mobile offering SIM card adapters for the phone swapping Junkie

I will be the first to admit my annoyance with the recent trend to swap devices over to MicroSIM cards. After purchasing my Samsung Galaxy S II and my wife’s HTC One S and having to get new MicroSD cards in the process, I was less than excited. Being a long time T-Mobile customer, I have multiple device sitting around that I use as spares, backups and as media devices. Knowing that I couldn’t swap devices whenever I wanted was a real drag. It doen’t leave you stranded though.

There are adapters out there that you can click you recently changed MicroSIM into a standard SIM card size. This is invaluable if you have other devices around your home or in your life that aren’t MicroSIM ready. You never know when you might brick your current device, or when a software glitch might force you back to your old phone before your replacement arrives. There is no sense in going to a T-Mobile store for a new standard SIM for just a couple of days worth of use to only have to change it yet again when it comes in the mail.

T-Mobile knows there are situations that arise, there are phone junkies that use various devices for various reason and there are people like us who test ROM’s out on older devices that aren’t our daily phones. So they have started selling SIM car Adapters at various location to help ease the burden. The current price tag being $4.99. Mostly you are paying for the T-Mobile branding and the packaging. If you aren’t all that concerned with going to the store to snag one, there are a number of options available via Amazon that are even less expensive and serve the same purpose. You can find a few of those options below.
