Sprint‘s 4G LTE network isn’t the greatest in terms of coverage, but the carrier announced today that they would be working on expanding it by adding 28 more cities to their LTE network in the coming months.
Here’s the cities that will be seeing the LTE data speeds:
- Albany, GA
- Anderson, SC
- Bay City, MI
- Branson, MO
- Bremerton/Silverdale, WA
- Columbus, GA
- Columbus, MS
- Decatur, AL
- Florence/Muscle Shoals, AL
- Gadsden, AL
- Gaffney, SC
- Gettysburg, PA
- Glasgow, KY
- Homosassa Springs, FL
- Hot Springs, AR
- Lake City, FL
- Lake Havasu City/Kingman, AZ
- Midland, MI
- Nacogdoches, TX
- Opelousas/Eunice, LA
- Oxford, MS
- Paris, TX
- Pittsfield, MA
- Saginaw, MI
- Spartanburg, SC
- The Villages, FL
- Waycross, GA
- Winona, MN
Again, these cities won’t be lit up with LTE straight away, as Sprint specified it would happen “in the coming months.”
While Sprint isn’t rolling out its LTE network as fast as AT&T or even Verizon for that matter, they’re still gaining some pretty good ground. Although, they’ll be faced with some hard competition as T-Mobile continues with its plans of covering 80% of the U.S. by the end of the year.
