By now, you know me and my love for widgets. You tell me about a widget and I am on board as soon as the word widget comes across my eyes. Found this little gem not too long ago on XDA’s site when it was in its alpha stage. It did not work at all on my phone, but I kept checking up on it and it has finally made its way into the Play Store. Happy day for this widgethead.

Notification Browser is a nice little app that brings all your notifications into a widget. Why do you need this when you can just use the plain old notification drop down drawer? Simply that. Plain old drop down drawer. Android is about customizing to your liking, and one thing I was striving to accomplish is being somewhat different from the rest. So with the extended desktop feature on my ROM, I no longer have my status bar showing, and the notification widget shows me all I need. I have no complaints about it.

First thing to do after installing Notification Browser, is to go into your settings/accessibility menu. Make sure the app is on, and then you can start customizing the widget. There are three different backgrounds to choose from, but to me, background two and three look almost identical. My personal preference is just having it fully transparent. The backgrounds just do not do it for me. You also have the choice to make the app icons look the same color as the text, plain white, or have the actual icons show up in the window. When hitting a notification, you get three options. You can open up the app and access your message or what not, you can delete that notification, or you can delete all of your notifications. It is a nice little feature, and I utilize it a lot. You can also just hit the X in the top right corner to clear out all of your notifications. Remember though, even if you clear out your notifications from the widget, they will still be stored in the app itself. Just make sure you open the app fully up to clear all of them out.

So that is pretty much it on this widget. Check out my brief video review below, and download it from the Play Store. It is free to try, so you got nothing to lose.
