Google Sky Maps, one of the first apps available In Android Market, has been updated to 1.5. It’s not a huge update, just a couple of nifty additions of a picture gallery with photos taken from the Hubble telescope and “Magnetic Correction”, which fixes the angles of the stars to more accurately depict how it would look if you were looking directly at them.

If you’re never tried Google Sky Map, it works by by using your device’s orientation sensors, and shows you a star map for your location. You can explore planets, stars, constellations, and more. Google Sky Map is free so what do you have to lose, hit the QR code and try it.
