In what is apparently the trend this week, WordPress joins Outlook.com and LinkedIn in also overhauling their horridly outdated Android applications. I hadn’t used the old WordPress app much, but when I did, it definitely wasn’t the most pleasant Android experience I’ve had lately.
This update to 2.3 though is a welcome change and has added in a lot of features we’ve come to expect from Android apps. Apart from the elegant new user interface, the update also brings a menu drawer which  is accessed by swiping across and an action bar which contains… well, actions. There are a few other minor performance boosts as well, so this could potentially make mobile posting a more streamlined reality.
Were you struggling with the old WordPress app? Let us know how you find the new update.
