I can’t decide which saying is more fitting to describe this. Â Is necessity the mother of invention, or maybe that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure? Â Steve Jobs is up to his ever amusing ranting again, this time targeting Adobe. Â In a recent open letter, he described Adobe as power-hogging, antiquated, unstable, and (emphasis mine)Â proprietary. Mr. pot, it’s the kettle calling. Adobe, he feels, is something that should not be on mobile devices, and is best left in a dumpster somewhere. Â Adobe, in response to this criticism, is giving Android devices to it’s 8,600 employees.
What will this mean for Android? Flash 10.1 will be on display at Google I/O, and it will be on Android 2.2. It’s pretty clear that it will not be the last we will see of Adobe, better things will be coming. Â To that end we say; Thank you, Mr. Jobs. Â From all of us Android owners and the employees of Adobe.
