Adobe employees getting free Androids

I can’t decide which saying is more fitting to describe this.  Is necessity the mother of invention, or maybe that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure?   Steve Jobs is up to his ever amusing ranting again, this time targeting Adobe.  In a recent open letter, he described Adobe as power-hogging, antiquated, unstable, and (emphasis mine) proprietary. Mr. pot, it’s the kettle calling. Adobe, he feels, is something that should not be on mobile devices, and is best left in a dumpster somewhere.  Adobe, in response to this criticism, is giving Android devices to it’s 8,600 employees.

What will this mean for Android? Flash 10.1 will be on display at Google I/O, and it will be on Android 2.2. It’s pretty clear that it will not be the last we will see of Adobe, better things will be coming.   To that end we say; Thank you, Mr. Jobs.  From all of us Android owners and the employees of Adobe.
