Amazon has been rumored to be working on their very own phone line for some time now, and now there are new reports that they are not just working on one phone, but two. According to TechCrunch, one of the phones Amazon is working in will have a unique 3D interface that sounds pretty innovative, that is codenamed “Smith”. Apparently this phone will have four front-facing camera that will track your eyes, so it will be able to give you a proper 3D prospective as you navigate through your phone. These cameras will also only recognize you and no one else, so no one else will be able to use this 3D interface but you. Well how are we suppose to show it off for our friends then?
The Wall Street Journal reported this 3D Amazon phone back in May, but I do not think they guessed anything like this. This 3D interface will give users the ability to literally see things behind of what is displayed in front. Sounds like something out of a Sci-fi movie, but let’s face it, technology was going to get here sooner or later.
The second phone Amazon is reportedly making will not have this 3D interface. Apparently this phone will be offered for free, but free sounds even more far fetched then this innovative 3D technology. Only time will tell though, and we will keep you posted on what we hear about these phones.
