Samsung appears to be busy behind the scenes. We know from numerous leaks that they are in fact working on updates for the Samsung Galaxy S5 (here) and Samsung Galaxy S4 (here), but it appears they have also busied themselves with the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 GPe. Like the Samsung-mandated Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S4 GPe has been out for round about 18 months, but if the screenshots are anything to go by, its next update is alive and kicking (see source here for all screenshots).
If you’re interested in seeing all of the screenshots, you’ll want to head over to the source to see them all. The screenshots show the stock Android experience that we’ve had glimpses of on the Nexus devices and looks like all the goodies will be included on the Galaxy S4 GPe, including the Gmail app which absorbs all the responsibilities of the stock Email app. The only real remaining question is when this update will actually be available – while we assume it will be before Samsung’s flagships, stay tuned for any future developments.
