Schmidt also talked about some things that would hep spur on more growth. Pricing is definitely on their mind, and device for the $100 price point is something that Google will be hitting quickly. Could we assume a new Nexus tablet at Google I/O that is $99? Quit possibly. I doubt it would be a phone, to many radios and tech are needed in phones still.
With carriers like T-Mobile  shaking things up a bit and giving customers a great way to buy new devices that they might have otherwise not been able to afford, and Verizon looking to do something similar, I think Android is going to really pick up some steam again. Especially when the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4 finally hit the market. One has to wonder though, if Google pushes the prices down to $100, with quality drop, or will we start seeing fewer options. Personally, I wouldn’t mind a straight 7 inch tablet with a descent screen resolution dual core chip and nice sized battery that only had Wi-Fi. I mean, no cameras, no Bluetooth, no extras at all. Maybe and HDMI out port, but with Google TV and phones doing all that, I don’t need my tablet to do it too.
