AT&T announces Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OTA for LG Escape

LG Escape AT&T Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update
Looks like those of you clinging to your LG Escape should see an update at some point. AT&T has just announced that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates for the device have started to roll out. We know that brings in the likes of Google Now, Project Butter, expandable notifications and a slew of other wonders that make Android an even more amazing platform. AT&T says the roll out is starting now, but we all know it could take some time for all LG Escape owners to see it hit their device.

This update also brings with it AT&T DriveMode. Which is an app that is designed by AT&T to help curb texting while driving along with calls and emails. You phone will kill those things when your car reaches 25 mph. Wouldn’t that mean that in a school zone you could still text. Seems like the most dangers spot to be doing so.

Anyways, if you are sporting a LG Escape and would like to try to ping the server for the update you can go to Settings>General>About phone>Software Update>Update Now. Make sure you have a good charge, well over 50% is usually recommended, and that you are on a Wi-Fi connection that you plan to be at for a little while.
