We all are very familiar CyanogenMod, HTCClay, and others who have created Android ROMs. Themes on the other hand seem to be a little less talked about, I’m not sure why that is. In passing, while trying to keep my newborn son quiet so mommy could sleep a little, I started looking around for something new and I found it! I thought I’d share some of my latest finds with our wonderful followers.
First is BlackXeth, made by LordSeth from XDA. This theme is CyanogenMod v5.0.7/v5.0.8 and SuperE v1.02. Requirements for this theme are simple, Haykuro SPL (danger or death).  Which means nothing to a MT3G owner only on a G1. It’s a full ROM, so a simple download and flash is all that is needed. If you aren’t already running one of the original ROMS mentioned then the usual wipe should be performed first, and don’t forget to flash your GAPPS again too if you are installing the CyanogenMod Versions. View the page and the download files HERE for BlackXeth.
Pretty sweet looking huh? I have this one installed currently. It runs like a dream. I am a U.S. MT3G and G1 owner so of course the language does show up in English. LordSeth also has plenty of screens of different versions available for preview. There are actually 4 different themed Dialers to choose from if the one that’s built in isn’t to your taste. As wells as different Music Player themes and Tab Themes to choose from.
Next is BlueDark which is CyanogenMod v5.0.7/v5.0.8 and HTCCLAY SuperBad 1.4 Made by LostEden over at XDA as well. I don’t see any requirements as far as SPL is concerned but I would assume the Haykuro SPL again for the G1 owners and nothing for the MT3G owners. This particular one is already updated to ADW Launcher 9.0. The list of what is themed is as follows:
- Market
- Calendar
- Contacts new Background
- Music Widget
- Settings Widget
- Framework
- Alarm Clock
- Camera and Stat Icons
- GenieWidget new Wetter IconZ
- Youtube
- Notification Drawer
You can get to the download HERE for BlueDark. Here are some screens for your enjoyment.
Yet another beautiful twist to a wonderful set of ROM’s
One thing I would like to point out though is as usual the clock and various other text is black on black and needs to be changed through spare parts much like a lot of the new ROM’s. If you are having trouble finding spare parts, it is usually located under setting now instead of your app drawer.
I suggest you all do a little looking when you have some time and see what other goodies you can find out there. Let us know what you find!
