Have you ever been walking through your building at work, trying to text your parter or boss and nearly ran into someone or something? I have a few times… and it’s pretty embarrassing. Luckily the people I literally collided with were texting also, so we both looked foolish.
I saw this cool and sort of useful application a few days ago and just had to try it out. It was originally on the Galaxy S phone, even though I have a Samsung Vibrant, I wasn’t lucky enough to have the application pre- installed. Â After searching and reading forums galore, I finally found the APK for the application and wanted to share.
It is just a simple application that uses your camera as the background for the on screen text. If you turn your phone just slightly up while walking you can see whats coming in front of you. Most of us don’t hold the phone straight out while we text, Â just a slight adjustment in your holding habits can be a bit of a benefit.
Tested on Samsung Vibrant. Other phones should work as well, unless of course you have a front facing camera.
HERE is where you can pick up the APK. Install it as usually through which ever file manager you use.
