Alright it looks as though the earlier NCIX delay email about the Asus Transformer Prime could now hold water. According to Mobile Syrup’s Sources Future shop and Best Buy Canada have sent out emails notifiying pre order customers would see a delay in the shipment of the Prime. So if you were hoping you would find the Transformer Prime under your Christmas tree on the 25th of December you may be extremely disappointed. So although  Best Buy and Future shop have confirmed that there is a shipping delay for ASUS’s newest Android tablet, they however did not give a reason for the delay so it is not clear if this is also an issue with the  WiFi range or not. ASUS has publically stated that the Transformer Prime is still on schedule and expected to start to ship out ot retailers on week of December 19th, as well have all but confirmed a Ice Cream Sandwich update will hit the yet unreleased tablet in January.  There seems to be alot of smoke being blown by ASUS or the wires are crossed on the retailer side of things.

Being that all these rumors seem to be coming from Canadian companies, you may be thinking this could be a Canadian issue and Americans may not have any delay, but if there is in fact a delay in regards to either hardware or software, you can expect it to be on both sides of the border. Hopefully either the retailers or ASUS will clarify this confusion shortly.
