“Can you hear me now?” Probably not since Verizon’s Activation service isn’t doing its Job

Some of you may have just barely survived another LTE outage that swept across the nation yesterday. Making it the second extended outage in just as many weeks. Verizon has since said the service has been restored and all is right in Big Reds world. Or is it?

There is currently a thread up and running at their support site leads people to believe that now the activation service is down. There are 5 pages of comments rolling full of people who bought new phones in the last 24 hours and can’t activate them. Leaving all the new upgrades and new activation’s virtually useless. Many people are left without any phone at all. Talk about an irritating situation.

We aren’t sure if this is directly related to the LTE outage or a separate incident all on its own. Doesn’t really matter in my book, seems like Verizon has just become to big for its britches. Maybe they should split into two and focus back on their network again.
