In a bit of news that’s sure to make Motorola cringe, it looks as though their not-so-root-friendly DROID RAZR has been successfully cracked and ClockworkMod Recovery can now be installed on Verizon’s slimmest Android phone. Not long after the RAZR was released, root was obtained using a fairly simple process, but it didn’t do much good without a recovery to flash any custom ROM’s. Now, thanks to our awesome dev community, things will surely heat up once the ROM kitchens start whipping up tasty treats for the device.
The CWM installation process, discovered and perfected by J.Y.Daddy from XDA, blows the doors off the hinges for the Android modding community and RAZR owners who’ve yearned for a custom ROM to satisfy their flashing needs.
If your interested in installing ClockworkMod, head over to J.Y.Daddy’s thread for all the juicy deetz. Make sure to carefully read all seven (yes, only 7) steps before doing anything else. Then, get your CWM on and wait for the awesome ROMs that will soon follow.
