Cricket Wireless to offer the new Moto E on March 13th for $129.99

Motorola has certainly been on a push to cover as many carriers as possible with at least one device. Recently the newly acquired Motorola announced the 2nd gen Moto E packing above average specs, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a price tag that is hard to ignore. We know the pre-paid side of Sprint, Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile are all carrying the new device. Now we have word from Cricket Wireless that they will be bringing the 4G LTE friendly device to consumers on March 13th for $129.99.

“We said Cricket would continue to roll out more affordable 4G LTE smartphones in 2015, and the new Moto E is one of the best in its price point,” said Andy Smoak, head of devices for Cricket Wireless. “It’s an entry-level 4G LTE smartphone tailored for those looking for a great mobile experience at a price that won’t break the bank.  With unlimited calling and texting plans starting at $35 per month, after $5 Auto Pay Credit*, on a nationwide 4G LTE network, we are making good on promises to offer our customers a first-class wireless experience, no matter their budget.”

The Motorola Moto E will be the first Android 5.0 Lollipop sporting device to grace the carriers network and should sell well for them. It will be available both online at cricketwireless.com and in their stores. They don’t mention color options, but I imagine it will be black.
