A little over a week ago, we saw a video showing the Dell Streak running Android 2.1 where a Dell rep was answering a few questions regarding the 3G band compatibility. It looks like Engadget has got an exclusive preview of the Dell Streak and has shared some of its new features. Some of the latest news regarding the firmware issue is that O2 will be pushing Android 2.1 to the device to hold us over until Android 2.2 arrives, which is expected before the end of the year.
Features added to the Droid Streak include:
- 720p video capture
- Virtual keyboard and dialer enhancements
- 3D gallery
- Homescreen allows 24 icons instead of the usual 32
