Deus Ex The Fall coming to mobile devices this Summer

deus ex the fall

After creating a gamer frenzy and then pulling off one of the better April Fool’s pranks in recent memory, Square Enix has been suspiciously quiet about the Deus Ex franchise. Well, now we know why. Today, they’ve announced Deus Ex: The Fall, a new game developed for mobile and tablet devices that is due to be released this summer. It is set in the same era as the full-blown console game Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but picks up its story after the end of the Deus Ex: Icarus Effect, a James Swallows novel.

From the gameplay demo shown (see below), Deus Ex The Fall looks to incorporate plenty of ituitive touch controls and the unique RPG-cross-FPS gameplay that made Deus Ex: Human Revolution a success. I personally loved Deus Ex: Human Revolution; the whole style and atmosphere of the game was really absorbing and I was really hankering for more of the same, and Deus Ex: The Fall looks to be a good fit for that category.

Hopefully, more of the game will be shown off at E3 next week, and we’ll try to get some eyes on it. Anybody else excited about this new game from Square Enix? Share your excitement with us in the comments.
