Just a few hours after Soak Testers were notified that they would be receiving a test build of Ice Cream Sandwich for the Motorola Droid Razr (Maxx), an ICS build leaked over the web. It has been pulled by now, but we can definitely make some pretty good predictions out of the above screenshot. It looks like Motorola didn’t really play with customizing the ICS software too much, unlike back with Froyo Motoblur on the Droid X (That was terrible). There’s also a new version of Webtop, new Radios, and it runs on Android 4.0.3.
The build has been pulled from DroidRzr.com now because normal flashing methods were giving users all kinds of problems. We’re not sure if this is the final version to be pushed out to the soak testers, but this build looks extremely promising. It looks like Motorola has finally listened to consumers and isn’t playing with the stock Android UI too much and focusing on the experience. Now, if only they’d unlock all the bootloaders on their devices like HTC.
