Dropbox Pro plans set to double at no extra charge, plus a new 500GB Plan

Well hello there free storage. Dropbox is on a roll lately. Offering 50GB of space to carrier agreed Samsung Galaxy S III devices, updating to allow you to stream movies from your account and so much more. Trying to stay on top in the cloud storage war isn’t easy. There is a lot of competition out from Google, Box, HiDrive and many others, including some new additions from manufacturers even. How can one choose the best place to house your precious data?

The amount of storage space is always a deciding factor for many of us. Dropbox has just announced via their blog that they are going to double up on the space offered in their Pro plans. Taking the original 50 and 100 GB plans to 100 and 200 GB respectively. Those of you that are already on a Pro plan will automatically see the upgraded storage later tonight or tomorrow. In addition to the doubling of the current Pro plan storage limits, they are also going to be adding in a new 500GB plan. Pricing for that plan is not yet up, but again, will be available later this evening.

To make things even better. If you are a current Pro subscriber, Dropbox will be offering you some invites to set out giving your friends and family members a chance to gain the new 100MB plan FREE for 3 months. How nice of them!!
