As much as the developers of the world keep surprising me with new advancements and new goodies, I still can’t help but say “WHAT!” on occasion.  Looks like Kenia1234 and chiledog have been hard at work with a few other devs to bring a semi working version of Honeycomb (android 3.0), to the Galaxy S line. Here’s where it sits as of right now:
THIS ISÂ NOT INTENDED FOR DAILY USAGE!!! JUST FOR A TEST PURPOSE!!
What’s working
GPS
HW3D
Amazing speed
Internal SD
Phone (SMS ,Signal)
Data (need to manually set APNs)
What isn’t working
Phone (call)
Bluetooth
Audio
WiFi
It still needs some work but reports from the thread say its running pretty smooth so far. I have read that a few people successfully flashed from CM7 to this Honeycomb ROM on their Vibrants and were easily able to nandroid back to CM7 with no issues. Being that Honeycomb is designed for tablets and not for a 4in screen/phone, the best results have been reported with the device in landscape mode. Take a look at the screenshots below provided by Segnaro.
If you happen to be a little more gutsy then I am at the moment, feel free to head on over to the ROM/Port][GalaxyComb][Android 3.0 Honeycomb thread to do a little more reading and for the flashing instructions. Be sure to thank these guys for all their hard work in trying to do something different!
