Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Springboard headed to T-Mobile early November

As an ex T-Mobile employee I know how important it is for them to get into the tablet game. They have done a fantastic job ramping up their Android device line but fell short on tablets after the Samsung Tab. While other carriers where picking up the XOOM, Tab10.1 and other tablets, T-Mobile kinda sat on the sides lines. I am certain it had more to do with the market not being there for them to start selling them. Now it is.

There are two tablets slated for launch on the magenta network over the next couple of weeks. The first is the widely popular Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It is scheduled for release on November 2nd. Packing in that dual-core Tegra 2 at 1.2Ghz, a 10.1″ HD display and Honeycomb OS. It will definitely be their high end tablet with more to come hopefully.

The second tablet on its way is the T-Mobile Springboard. This is the Huawei’s first tablet offering for T-Mobile and set to arrive on November 9th. If the rumors are true, this will be a highly affordable tablet that offers many of the things tablet users want, at a price point of $200. It has also been rumored to be launching at $179.99. Either price tag should mean a great number of devices sold. It will have a 7″ HD display, 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, front and rear camera and 720p video recording. You will also find the device running the Honeycomb OS with no word on Ice Cream Sandwich just yet.

Both tablets are going to be great additions for T-Mobile. Although I am a bit more partial to the Tab 10.1, I can see the Springboard being a great seller if the price is right.

Anyone out there going to go pick up one of these tablets on launch day? If so, you can head over to either of the devices official sign up pages located below.
