Accessory Review: Scosche FlipSYNC II – Compact Charger and Sync Device

I don’t know about you guys, but I know I have left cables at home many times only to find myself really needing one. Sometimes it was for charging, other times it was so I could transfer files from my phone to a friend’s PC. It has driven me insane many times. Luckily, Scosche has solved all my (cable-related) problems. The FlipSYNC II is a very simple, yet very practical solution to those emergency needs. The device is small and compact.  It was designed to attach to your keys so you are never without a charging cable or transfer cable. The concept is simple but effective. The device works as it should and does everything it is supposed to, which is charge your device and allow the transfer of data. Take a look at a few photos below to get an idea of what it looks like and its size.

On one end you have a Micro USB and Mini USB adapter plug and on the other end is a standard USB plug. Simply pull it open to access the connections and do what you need to get done. When you are all done, just tuck everything back into itself and away you go.

There really isn’t much more that I can say about this unit. It just works and works well. The real question is how much would you use it? I received this item 3 days ago. I have already needed it 4 times (apparently I am a loser when it comes to having cables around). It has come in handy at friends’ houses and even when I was just too lazy to get my charger. Maybe you have already figured out when this would be handy to have around. How much does it cost though? Well, the FlipSYNC II will run you $19.99 from the Scosche website. You can always pick up another USB cable for about that much or even less, but how often will you stick it in your pocket? This is a wonderful, compact, and portable solution to those times when you just need to hook something to a PC.

Anyone else out there have one of these super handy little gadgets? Let everyone know what you think of it.
