Gameloft releases new Brothers in Arms 3 teaser trailer

The last Brothers in Arms title from Gameloft for Android was Brothers in Arms 2. It was a free first person shooter that offered up a number of in-app purchases. Last time I see it updated was in January of 2014. That is quite a long time ago in the game and phone world. Gameloft has apparently been busy working on the third installment of the franchise and today they have released some more details as well as a video teaser trailer to get you excited about its upcoming release.

Brothers in Arms 3 Son of War
As far as I know, up to this point, all we had to go one was a few images showing a few of the character classes and still screenshot of a battle under way on the Brothers in Arms Facebook page. I know an early look was available at E3 not to long ago, but the topic has been pretty quiet since then. Now we get to see a little bit of the action in a newly released teaser trailer that shows off some of how this new third person action game looks. Take a quick watch.

Looks pretty good so far. The new title is geared towards squad based game play. Each squad mate will have their own special abilities that can help you complete your missions. There will be a total of 12 brothers to choose from and their abilities will range from calling air strikes to laying down some mortar fire. Each brother will have 4 stats that you can upgrade. Each stat varies per brother. I assume that means the time for an Air Strike brother calling in and the delivery would be less and so on. I am also going to assume there will be daily rewards and in-app purchases. We will have to wait and see.

Brothers in Arms 3: Sons of War will make an appearance on Android, iOS and Windows Phone, although a speculative release date or even a suggested time frame hasn’t been mentioned by Gameloft. At least none that I can find. With the new teaser being pushed out and more screens and promo images hitting their Facebook page the last week it is likely that it could launch before the end of the year and I am hearing that by the end of the month is the target, but I don’t have a specific date yet. We will keep our eyes open for the release details as they become available. Until then, what is your take from what is available so far?
