Global launch of the LG G3 to start June 27th in Asia, Europe and Middle East

Global launch of the LG G3The LG G3 was announced to much fanfare just over one month ago, however its presence has so far only been felt in LG‘s native country of South Korea. Despite this, The LG G3 managed to post some very impressive sales figures, even outselling the peak rate of sales for the Samsung Galaxy S5. Luckily though, LG has now announced that the global launch of the LG G3 is going to start on June 27th, starting in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines, followed by the rest of Asia, Europe and the Middle East. LG has also said that other regions will gain access to the device sometime in July.

The device that was announced last month is unlikely to be changed hardware-wise for this release, however LG has mentioned that some regions like Asia and Europe will have the additional bonus of built in wireless charging capabilities via Qi wireless charging. It really seems like LG has made big waves with the LG G3, however they appear to remain very humble about their success; as the CEO and President of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company puts it:

“Early indications give us reason to be optimistic that G3 will be as successful globally as it has been in Korea… It’s quite an honor to be considered the new industry benchmark for premium smartphones but in the end, what really matters is how consumers feel about our latest flagship device because it was their feedback that helped us create G3.”
