Google wants to hear your “Google TV Stories”

Google is looking for more information on how users see, view and use Google TV. To do this, they have asked anyone that wishes to participate the chance to voice their thoughts in video format. Google TVs G+ page recently started the campaign to find out GTV has enhanced or changed their lives in a positive way. Going on a rant about all the things you hate will most like be ignored. They don’t offer up any sort of explanation on why they are looking for you to make a video. It could be for up coming ad campaigns, or they could showcase your testimonial on their site or in a presentation. They would contact you for permission to do that before hand of course.

Google TV is changing the way audiences interact with television, providing — among other things — integrated search and discovery capabilities, a “lean back” version of YouTube, Chrome for your TV, and a world of Android apps on Google Play. Now we want to hear the way you’ve made Google TV your own unique experience. Upload to YouTube a home video (max 3 minutes) of your story and share it with the tag “Google TV Stories” (quotes included). Thanks for tuning in! You can also post links to your videos directly on our Google+ page.

While the current devices that support Google TV is fairly limited and so is what they can do, one can easily find the good in anything. I don’t think I know anyone that can’t say something nice. Be it Having Plex available, Netflix or how YouTube on the big screen keeps your kids quiet. What about using Google music through your TV to your sound system for parties. You might not be able to sit down and play SHADOWGUN on it yet, but the product definitely has its benefits.

If you want to participate, simply make a 3 minute or less video of the positive effects the services have had in your life and post them up. Be sure to mark “Google TV Stories” (quotes included) in the tag line. You are also encouraged to post you video to Google TV’s G+ page. We don’t see any up just yet, maybe you could be the first. If video isn’t your thing, we wouldn’t mind hearing the good things you can say about it in the comments below. Anything from what is provided by default or your favorite Google TV application. There is a lot to the service that many might not know about.
