Hands-on with the Entry Level HTC Wildfire

The guys over at SlashGear have done a nice hands on review / comparison of the new HTC Wildfire.  If you missed the news, the HTC Wildfire is an entry level Android device small enough for the smallest of pockets, and I’m talking size, not financials.  The Wildfire stacks in at 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.48 inches weighing only 4.16oz with the 1,300mAh battery.  The Wildfire reminds me of a smaller Nexus One with its similar outer lines and coloring.

Besides the lower end 528MHz Qualcomm processor, the Wildfire is actually spec’d nicely enough to perform the most common tasks.  It doesn’t sound like you’l be running any intensive 3D tasks, but besides that it seems like a nice device.

Unfortunately the rumored Wildfire pricing on a contract is not too much different to much nicer HTC Desire and other higher end phones so the value for money is still in the air.
