Despite an avalanche of falling revenue and stock price in recent years and disappointing sales in August, HTC won’t be changing CEO, Peter Chou anytime soon. Â According to HTC chairwoman Cher Wang while speaking at a summit in Taiwan, Chou “has done a great job” and HTC has no plans on replacing him. Â While Chou may be going nowhere real fast, HTC is going to more than likely continue on a rough road through the end of this year. Â Samsung has given them a run for their money already with great success in their S4 (and predictably successful upcoming Note 3), but the introduction of a new iPhone 5S and 5C Â as well as the acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft will not help any. Â While phablets generally sell well, the 5.9 inch One Max as HTC’s new flagship and an expanding market in China are their hope to get them through the end of the year.
