The HTC Desire is one of the most beautiful Android powered handsets, a phone to be called the sibling of the Nexus. Unfortunately, the handset is not officially announced by any US Carriers as of yet, but the fellows in the UK get their hands on it in April via Vodafone.
The Desire that everyone has seen so far came in a sleek black. Now a fellow by the name of Robert Webbe has uploaded pics and a video on Flickr of a silver and “urban” brown model. Of course with this announcement comes good news, the Silver model is now available for pre-order on PDAshop.nl for €449($618), and is expected to arrive on April 9th. Silver suits the Desire well, but sort of reminds me of the upcoming HTC Legend.
Quoted from HTC, it was said “The HTC Desire is accepted by almost every key carrier in every key country”. In the U.S., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint are the key carriers. It was also rumored that T-Mobile is training their employees on HTC Desire handsets for an upcoming release. We are awaiting the International CTIA show, with hopes that maybe HTC will announce the Desire for any US carrier.
