HTC Legend getting aluminum unibody treatment

HTC seems to be taking some cues from Apple in their design of the HTC Legend, their follow up to the Hero phones which first brought SenseUI to Android. They will be stuffing their Android driven hardware inside a special aluminum unibody case with integrated plastic inserts which allow for the swapping of batteries, SIM cards and your microSD. The phone will feature the 5MP camera, 480×800 pixel AMOLED screen and optical mouse we previously reported.

The Hero in many ways raised the bar in terms of Android UI’s. Motorola’s Blur and Sony’s Rachael UI’s both follow in its footsteps, though each adding it’s own unique advantages. It would not be shocking to see more phones follow the Legends path in terms of physical design in this case.
