HTC Looking To Get Users Who Downloaded Early Leak Back On Track

Late last week, I think every Evo user who knew what was going on, downloaded the Android 2.2 leak posted by HTC. Not too long after that, HTC pulled the link and tweeted the following, “Please be aware any update.zip floating around for EVO are not final and may cause problems. Official updates are coming OTA next week!”

HTC has come out and tweeted the above message today, as they are still on track for an official OTA update this week.  It wasn’ long after the update was leaked that it was rooted and then re-released by Avalaunchmods who obviously brought his A-game and a quick rooted leak. If you haven’t received the OTA update, then you should see it sometime this week.
