HTC is trying their very best to roll out updates as quickly as possible. We are still waiting for the Android 4.4 update for the Ge HTC One, and Verizon HTC One users are still waiting for Android 4.3. So HTC went to the tweets, and let people know about the HTC One and HTC DROID DNA updates.
Apparently the Verizon HTC One has to receive the update in two steps. First, a compatibility update, which I guess was has already rolled out, then there is the actual update, which is suppose to roll out some time in December. As for the official Android 4.4 update to the One, it is still slated for the end of January.
For HTC DNA they didn’t give too many details. They did, however, mention that the Android 4.4 update for the DNA should arrive at the end of January as well, but they have a “pending certification update from the carrier”, which if you are on Verizon, you really don’t want to hear that. Hopefully since Verizon got their Moto X with KitKat before anyone else, they are turning over a new leaf.
