HTC Vivid scheduled to get Ice Cream Sandwich in coming Weeks

While the news of new phones gets pushed out left and right from Spain today, there are other hidden gems in the mix. During AT&T‘s HTC One X announcement, they slipped in another little bit of news that is sure to please some out there. They say they will have an ICS update available to the HTC Vivid in ‘coming weeks.’ We prefer a specific date, but coming weeks is better than coming soon.

The new software will not only pack in some ICS goodness for everyone, but it is said to bring “updated Sense experience,”most likely the Sense 3.6 UI found on the recently announced HTC One V. It will also bring along with it an updated version of Beats Audio.

Additionally, an enhanced audio experience will soon be available to HTC Vividâ„¢ customers in the coming weeks. Sound engineers at Beats Dr. Dre and software engineers at HTC have teamed up to bring an improved audio experience to the HTC Vivid through an upcoming software update that will provide Android 4.0, an updated HTC Sense experience and Beats By Dr. Dre audio profiles.

So if dropping some cash this spring n a new HTC device just doesn’t fit into your budget, those of you with a Vivid will at least get a treat soon.
