Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.5 headed to a few devices in France by March

Like many others out there, not all of us could jump on board the Galaxy Nexus ship. That leaves you wishing, hoping and dreaming that your current device might just see some icy goodness at some point in time. If you happen to be a resident of France, your dreams should be realized very soon. According to French mobile company SFR, they have released their device update road map. There are a number of devices listed that will be getting various update versions of Gingerbread, but Ice Cream Sandwich is what we are all waiting for. SFR has confirmed a total of four devices to get updates. Two are currently on ICS and two will be new to the icy treat. What makes this a bit more interesting is that they are stating that the ICS version will be 4.0.5.

Taking a gander at the release you can see the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S will be updated to the new Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.5 in March. Along with the original Nexus line you see that the HTC Sensation will be getting a taste of 4.0 with Sense 3.5 via OTA. The Samsung Galaxy SII also is making the cut, bringing in ICS 4.0 via OTA and KIES. Specific dates are always nice to see, but a specific month for availability is just as good in my book.

Now the question is, “What is in the 4.0.5 update?” Will it house new features and additions, or just have some tweaks and bug fix’s? We will keep our eyes open for the particulars as we are sure they will begin to emerge soon.
